何光年も旅した星々の光 は私たちの記憶を繋ぎ星座を描く

“ the star lights traveled for many light years connect our memories and draw constellations , ” Hirakawa produced a hanging art mobile using old military medals of which were given to the awarded people involved in the past wars by the war-time Japanese government . And he set them hung in the form of constellations. Those medals , which were given to those who were sent to the battlefield at that time in exchange for their life and death, are now available for p- urchase at net auctions and antique shops at extremely low prices . Mobile is made with each object suspended and balanced like a balance . The figure is like a balance of lives . When we look at this work, it seems as if we look at the star lights shining from many light-years ago, sh- ould we turn to the light emitted by the past heritages and imagine the times when they lived by connecting the lights.
この作品は当時、日本が参戦した戦役・事変に関わった人物に日本国から贈られた従軍勲章を星座の形に吊り下げ、モビールを制作しています。
現在、従軍勲章 はヤフーオークションや古道具屋さんで破格の値段で購入することが可能です。
当時、従軍勲章は戦地へ赴き生と死の引き換えに贈られました。
しかし、誰かの人生と引き換えに贈られたそれらは戦後73年でただの物へと変化していました。
モビールは、それぞれのオブジェクトを天秤のように吊り下げバランスを整え制作します。その姿はまるで命の天秤のようにも映ります。
そのモビールで星座を描くことで、何光年という星の光を眺めるように、過去の遺産が放つ光に目を向けて、その光を繋ぐことで彼等が生きた時代を想像し星座を作ろうと考えました。
